Step 2: Shape the Patties
- Divide the mixture into 4-6 equal portions (about ½ lb each for large burgers).
- Gently shape them into ¾-inch thick patties.
- Make a small dimple in the center to prevent bulging while cooking.
Step 3: Cook the Burgers
- Preheat grill to medium-high (375°F-400°F).
- Place patties on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes per side for medium doneness.
- Add cheese in the last minute if desired.
